Reggio Simplified

Welcome to Nido Kids, an early childhood education resource designed for families with children ages 1 through 5. We are dedicated to embracing a play-based approach that recognizes young children as active participants in their learning journey. Anchored in the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we believe children are naturally equipped with curious minds and distinct interests. At Nido Kids, our mission extends beyond supporting families with strategies to incorporate the Reggio approach into their daily routines; we aim to inspire a lifelong passion for connection and discovery.

Testimonials

  • Nido has been the best experience for us! My 18-month-old absolutely loves it, and it’s by far the best class we’ve ever done. There’s no rigid structure—just beautifully designed, open-ended play that keeps her engaged the entire time. The fact that it’s all outdoors makes it even more special—my daughter gets to explore nature freely while playing and learning in the most natural way. And Danielle is truly the best—her warmth, energy, and understanding of toddlers make every class feel so special. We’re so grateful for this incredible space!

  • Birdie has loved her Tuesday mornings with Nido Kids over the last six months. It is her favorite activity of the week. Danielle always has engaging invitations to play set up and we have even tried to recreate a few at home. Birdie will tell us she is "happy" after class which is the sweetest! I love that Birdie gets an hour outside in the park playing with friends, no matter the weather, especially since so many of the toddler programs are inside. Thanks, Danielle, for this wonderful program.

  • My daughter and I both love attending Danielle’s playgroup each week! Danielle sets up a variety of activities and stations for the kids to explore and play with at their own pace. The activities are age-appropriate, encourage imagination and pretend play while also giving my daughter the opportunity to practice taking turns with other kids. One of my favorite things about playgroup is that the toddlers can dig in and make a bit of a mess - whether it be with any of the featured sensory items, the art project, or puddles that may be present in our beautiful outdoor learning space. The environment Danielle creates feels safe and calm, which allows my sometimes shy girl to come out of her shell to explore and sing during the music session. I myself love going to playgroup each week to play alongside my daughter, but also to meet up and chat with other parents and caretakers!

“Learning and teaching should not stand on opposite banks and watch the river flow by; instead, they should embark on a journey down the water. Through an active, reciprocal exchange, teaching can strengthen learning and how to learn.”
